Roberta is a multidisciplinary artist and designer with a background in Fashion and Communication Design and Ecological Art. She teaches Design Methodology within the Fashion Design programme at MADE Program, where she is also in charge of coordinating the international programmes.
Her artistic research explores ecology, embodiment, movement, and collective forms of knowledge, focusing on deconstructing and reimagining the beliefs that shape our ecological relationships through participatory processes and spaces for (un)learning.
She is part of Rethinking Lampedusa, an artistic residential programme addressing migration through artistic research and participatory practices. For the Malta Biennale 2024, she curated Il mare mi ha rifiutato and the public programme Rethinking Lampedusa, Rethinking Malta.
She has participated in artistic residencies and research programmes across Europe and Latin America. Since 2025, she has been part of SoilUp! Collective (NL) and collaborates with L’Arcolaio, facilitating artistic workshops at the Casa di Reclusione di Augusta.
In 2021, she co-organised Mimesi Festival in Syracuse, dedicated to urban regeneration and social and environmental challenges. She also works as a graphic designer and content creator for cultural and design organisations.
